Translating HattrickPoli
|
|
Whole HattrickPoli (menus, dialogs, messages) can be translated to different
languages. There are two files that have to be translated: HattrickPoli.lan
and HTTraslations.txt. Both files are in the directory where you installed HattrickPoli.
You will see that format of these files is very simple. First line containes
names of languages separated by '|', and rest of the lines containes text that
have to be translated, separated by '|'.
HattrickPoli.lan
Containes text for menus, dialoges, messages, and so on.... Just add your language
at the end, and translate text. When you finish, please send it to me, and I
will add it to the next version of HattrickPoli.
HTTranslations.txt
This file is more important. Actually none of the text that appear
in this file id displayed in HattrickPoli. It is used for parsing. So, only
languages that are supported by HT should be listed here. There may still be
some errors in this file, so if your language is supported by HT, please go
through this file, and if you see any errors let me know.
Since HattrickPoli is constantly evolving, there will be some problems for the
translators. So, I decided to write a small tool, which will help them. You can
download it here. It's very simple tool. First you
load 'HattrickPoli.lan', then you make changes to your language, then you save
the file, and then you send it to me. If you are starting new language, then click
'New language' in the menu. You can check the 'Show only not translated' check
box, so that you can see which strings has not be translated yet.
Oh, yes, I suggest that before you start translating new language, you contact
me whether somebody is not already working on language you are after.
